*Family Cook/Housekeeper Job Description*
Toronto, Ontario (North York – Yonge and York Mills)
Our client is looking for a full-time Family Cook/Family housekeeper that would also be responsible for some light housekeeping duties. They have a full-time housekeeper on staff who does most of the cleaning, but there would be some lighter duties (ex laundry) in addition to cooking for this position.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Cooking dinners and meal prep for a busy family
* Laundry, ironing, and steaming
* Cleaning the kitchen, washing glasses, china, cutlery, and cooking utensils.
* Food preparation and cooking – meal prep and cooking meals according to home recipes
* Keeping inventory of groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked.
* Organizing – taking on projects such as, but not limited to, deep cleans, household cupboard and closet cleaning and reorganization
* Purchasing or ordering groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked; other errands as needed
* Other duties as required
*Job Requirements*
* A minimum of 3 years similar work experience.
* Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
* Flexible scheduling with availability to work occasional weekends.
* May be required to travel with family to country home (1.5 hours from Toronto) on some weekends throughout the year
* Professional, polished, and discreet, always maintain confidentiality.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Ability to multitask, work under pressure and handle last minute changes.
* Driver’s Licence required
*Additional Job Information*
* Schedule: Monday to Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm; occasional weekends may be required
* Live-out
* Experience with cooking Latin Cuisine an asset
* Must be pet friendly - dog friendly home
* Open to commuting to second residence an hour outside Toronto once per week
*Compensation: $20-25/hour*
